Product keys
When you run FreeOffice 2016 for the first time, you must input a product key. This product key was sent to you from SoftMaker by e-mail upon registration.
Don't have the product key?
If you do not have a product key yet, visit the FreeOffice web site, jump to the "Download" section, select the desired product variant and initiate the download. This will result in a new product key being sent to you by e-mail. It's free, of course.
If you do not know your product key anymore, please scan your e-mail inbox for this e-mail from SoftMaker and use the product key listed in it. In case you cannot find this e-mail anymore, please visit the FreeOffice web site, jump to the "Downloads" section and request a new product key by starting a download.
Product key invalid?
If FreeOffice refuses to accept the product key and shows an error message, this can have the following reasons:

You mistyped the product key. Solution: Type it in again correctly.

You entered a product key that does not match the product you try to install. For example, you cannot use a full version's product key to unlock FreeOffice. Solution: Use the correct product key.

You do not have an internet connection. Solution: During the unlocking, you need to have an internet connection. You can cut the connection again when the software has been unlocked.
